Doesn't make him any less great, but it is an approriate follow-up to earlier comments about how we never got to see him in the playoffs after he was 29, how much life the bad teams may have taken out of him and how he is actually the youngest of this HOF class.

It's not like I said he stole candy from babies and kicked puppies in his spare time.
Just saying this thread is supposed to contradulate one of the greatest Rangers on a great career, not pick apart his game after he was on some of the worst Ranger teams in recent history and after he lost the passion to play in other cities.

I mean just think about it for a min. This gm does this to Leetch before a cap then goes out 4 years later and hands out that Redden contract when we have a cap.........dunno what else to say except YIKES!

Congrats, Brian. Still have the spinorama move against the Caps in the '94 playoffs tattooed in my mind.

Wasn't that against the Devils in game 7?

Easy friend, not trying to analyze or pick apart his game.

If I was, you'd know it. I've never been afraid to write my opinion.

It most certainly was. I have NO idea why I typed Caps there.

That was a beauty. Spin-o-rama change of direction going from behind the net. I don't see much hockey (mostly lived in California) but I've never seen anyone else do that. And it should have been the game winner had the Ranger's coverage not broken down at the end. But then we wouldn't have Matteau for eternity.

Congratulations Brian. You were my all-time favorite player. It was a privilege and pleasure to watch you play.

Since I was born in June of 1993, and I never started watching hockey until the 2005-2006 season, I don't remember the '94 playoffs. The only way to watch Leetch is the DVD collection of the '94 playoffs. Man, he was good.
