He's not much in the way of setting up Lupul for being able to use his scoring ability. Most of Lupuls goals came this year from cleaning p Carters left-overs/rebounds but I truly believe he'd have had even better numbers if he had a REAL playmaking center with him.
Giroux with Lupul and Gagne.
Carter with Hartnell and whoever.
Richards with Briere and JvR.

I like this deal. Helps both teams out in my opinion. I don't think anything else really needs to be added.

Adding Kreps would make this to lopsided for Philly. Kreps is a solid two-way center that is big and has great hands. He's got the tools to be a very effective player in this league, and I can't see the Panthers giving up on him this early. The guy has 40 point potential no doubt.

Lupul would be great on our first line with Booth and Weiss. I think he would give that extra scoring punch we need, and we could probably afford him if we drop McLean's contract.

Also, I wouldn't make that deal and I wouldn't trade JVR but based on recent information and stuff from the trade deadline, I don't think it's insane.
No, it most definitely is insane. Re-think the entire concept and then tell us again its not insane; because it is...

as long as Homer finds a way to move Jones & Carle

'A+' for him if those 3 players are moved, he signs Bouwmeester and gets 2 player for the 3rd line (ex: Pahlsson, Axelsson, Moan, Malhotra, etc...)

That works, you get Lupul's for a few years and he would play well with Horton and Frolik, for a Top 10 Defense-mans rights.

IMO, Gagne MUST be with Richards, they are our 2 best defensive forwards and will have to go up against the likes of Crosby and every other teams top line. There is no way we can put Briere on the ice against Crosby, we'd be asking 4 serious trouble. Swapping Gags and Danny on this lines really shouldn't make much difference and Giroux has shown chemestry with Danny last year. It would be sweet to have Giroux centering Gagne and Briere because the 2 or 3 games they were together it was fantastic to watch. Gags looked like he could pot 50 goals being paired with those 2 but unless we get another really good defensive forward I think Gags has to sacrafice some offense for the good ofthe team and playwith Richards.

I would like to see the Flyers trade down with the Islanders or something before they do a 1st rounder for the rights of deal.

Pretty sure a Lupul for Bouwmeester swap would be conditional on Bouwmeester signing a contract.

Yeah last year Montreal aquired Sundin's rights for a conditional package. It could be the same thing here where the Panthers and Flyers agree on a conditional package and if Bouwmeester signs then Florida get's that package.

Now the question is does Florida want Lupul and I wouldn't be suprised if they'd rather get a first round draft pick.

That name has been brought up. Ive seen him play a few times. But how are his FO skill, PK skills, ice time? I want someone to take some pressure of Carter and Richards in those areas...
Good. He would be a perfect fit. I think he is underrated by many of the Panther fans. I'm high on him. He is a very good skater and has soft hands. Great composure for a guy two years in.

I want to see that happen generally, move down in the first and get their 2nd round pick as well. I don't really want to start moving picks for rights unless we get the cap space to do it first (ie moving Lupul).

I still disagree with your trading for nothing - shedding salary and getting a signed Bouwmeester below market rate is not nothing per se. Besides, you guys are loaded at forward - share the wealth with us bottom-feeders!
I think it's a fair deal for both sides, Florida gets a scoring winger who needs top 6 minutes and Holmgren gets exclusive rights to try and sign Bouwmeester. Philly has forwards to make up for Lupul so losing his contract is a plus for the Flyers and they'd get their defenseman that they want.
