Fukufuji to Tilburg!

I read a report that former Kings goalie Yutaka Fukufuji will be joining the Tilburg Trappers for next season. A Bakersfield Condors assistant coach will be headcoaching the club, and apparantly convinced him to join him there.

The fans/staff of the Japanese National Team will be celebrating. They haven't been able to use their best goalie in the WC for many years and with Yutaka playing in a league that actually cares about international play and will release their players/regularly have international breaks/ends before the world championships that would allow him to play for Japan.

To complete the story, the next WC will be in Tilburg (although Great Britain wants to exchange groups with Japan, so not 100% sure yet), so he will be used to the rink as well.

Yutaka will definitely be able to play for the national team though (if selected)

A full story including an interview with Yutaka is on the team's website.
