I wouldn't want to face Schneider 6 times a year, if he gets traded I'm sure it's out in the East.

Obviously, I don't mean it literally. Still, Vancouver would probably explore moving him now.

I'd cry if the Avs moved the 3rd overall pick for a package involving Schneider. Only prospect goalie I'd want is Rask.

If true, than probably. But if they don't get an offer they like their is nothing preventing them from having Schneider start the season as Luongo's back-up and get 15-20 games in order to try and increase his trade value.

Sure, there is no urgency unless Vancouver is looking to add another 1st round pick in this draft. You don't keep a goalie of Schneider's potential on the bench 65 games a year for the foreseeable future, though.

If Luongo has indeed signed a long term extension, I don't see Schneider as Canucks' property past next trade deadline or at the latest, the 2010 draft. I don't see Gillis dumping him for whatever he can get at this draft though.

Schneider and Vancouver's 1st could equal a mid-1st if there is a guy Gillis really loves in this draft, too. I would tend to agree with you, but I think there could be a good amount of movement tomorrow and Saturday, and not just picks.

Rask is a better goalie prospect than Schneider? I don't think so.

No, its because Schneider is not worth the 3rd overall pick. At best he'll get you the 20-30th overall pick.

And yes, IMO Rask is better than Schneider

If true, thats awesome.

I'll be kinda sad to not see the Canucks finally draft and develop their own starting goaltender.

No offense but your incredibly wrong. Just think about what your saying for a second. Now i agree that he wont get the third overall pick alone but for picks 4-15 im sure he could get any one of them(assuming the team is in need of a goalie).

This. I'm glad Luongo is extended, if it happens, but will be really sad to see Schneider get traded. IMO, Schneider is a shining example of Vancouver finally learning to be patient and properly develop a great prospect.

Im a stupid Canuck hater. Im going to say something totally off topic like Tuuka Rask is better then Schneider just for the hell of getting a good kick at em Canucks.

This is true, but at the same time it's not like we F'd up his development. We'd just be dealing a commodity that has a greater value in trade form. Bidnass is bidnass.

Yeah because I really care about the Canucks or their fans.....

Off topic? It was a Canuck fan who proposed a trade and it was a Canuck fan who asked what the Avs would trade for Schneider.

Its funny that the guy who obviously can't read is calling someone else stupid.

I wish I remembered who the dumbass was who said I was wrong when I said that payers and teams CAN sign extensions before July 1st, they just can't SUBMIT them to the league office and make it official unti then.

This frees up Vanc to trade Schneider during the draft now, good news for them.

Well its not like they can't talk about an extension prior to July 1st, they just can't actually put pen on paper until July 1st.

Its not like Luongo's rights are owned by another team.
