After the Big 7, who's your Next 10 ?

The Top 7 has been Tavares, Hedman, Duchesne, Kane, Schenn, Cowan, MSP for the longest time, although it’s possible that other names will break through into this group.

How would you rank the next 10 players, 8 – 17?

If you have one of the “original 7” falling into this range, who do you have moving into the Top 7?

8. Kulikov
9. OEL
10. Moore
11. Schroeder
12. Kassian
13. Ashton
14. Ferraro
15. Erixon
16. Glennie
17. Olsen

Honorable mentions: Roussel, Leblanc, Palmieri

I don't think you can talk about a big 7 anymore - MPs and Cowen seems to have fallen out of that company. I would rather say there seems to be a consensual top 5 with Tavares, Hedman, Duchene, Kane and Schenn followed by a group of 5-6 consisting of MPS, Cowen, OEL, Kulikov, Kadri and maybe Glennie, where only MPS has any real prospect of possibly breaking into the top 5 group. I wouldn't be at all surprised if 1 or 2 of the others in that group went before MPS and Cowen.

Then there's another group of 5-7 who seem most likely to go in the 10-20 range, but any of whom could break into the top 10-11: Moore, Kassian, Josefson, Schroeder, Ellis and perhaps Rundblad and Erixon.

The next tier - projected late teens to early twenties - should be Morin, Holland, Leddy, Despres, Leblanc and Kreider, among whom the last two has a clear potential of moving into the mid-round group.

After that, there seems to be a huge group of about 20 players who are in contention for late 1st-early to mid 2nd. From this group, De Haan, Palmieri, Ferraro and Ashton seem to have the most potential for moving up a bit.

cheers

Tavares, Hedman, Duchene, Schenn, Kane, Cowen, MPS in that order.

8. Schroeder (will be one of the bigger steals of the draft when all is said and done IMO)
9. OEL
10. Kulikov
11. Moore
12. Josefson
13. Ellis
14. Glennie
15. Kassian
16. Rundblad
17. Kadri

I think Ellis, Rundblad, and Kadri may drop out of this group but this is my ranking.

I don't see how Cowen drops out of the top 10. I see him as a big reliable defenseman in a few years.

I think Ellis, Rundblad, and Kadri may drop out of this group but this is my ranking.
I have a feeling that either Ellis or Rundblad will be a Jacket by the end of the night, so I don't think either of them fall pass the Jackets.

Hopefully, though, it's Rundblad.
