I don't think you can talk about a big 7 anymore - MPs and Cowen seems to have fallen out of that company. I would rather say there seems to be a consensual top 5 with Tavares, Hedman, Duchene, Kane and Schenn followed by a group of 5-6 consisting of MPS, Cowen, OEL, Kulikov, Kadri and maybe Glennie, where only MPS has any real prospect of possibly breaking into the top 5 group. I wouldn't be at all surprised if 1 or 2 of the others in that group went before MPS and Cowen.
Then there's another group of 5-7 who seem most likely to go in the 10-20 range, but any of whom could break into the top 10-11: Moore, Kassian, Josefson, Schroeder, Ellis and perhaps Rundblad and Erixon.
The next tier - projected late teens to early twenties - should be Morin, Holland, Leddy, Despres, Leblanc and Kreider, among whom the last two has a clear potential of moving into the mid-round group.
After that, there seems to be a huge group of about 20 players who are in contention for late 1st-early to mid 2nd. From this group, De Haan, Palmieri, Ferraro and Ashton seem to have the most potential for moving up a bit.
