Thanks for posting this. Very early in his career I became a fan and despite his setbacks in development his passion and obvious skill were still reasons to be excited. It's too bad the heart attack happened because I think he was poised for greatness. The next Pronger (They were in that Dodge commercial together).
Anyway, it's great to see that he still plays a vital role with the team. This just speaks to loudly about what an amazing organization our team is. From the Illitchs keeping him in the fold to Jiri turning his devastating injury into the passion to contribute to the development of others.
I've always thought it was a very classy move by Detroit keeping his stall set up in the change rooms and giving him a job like this despite the odds of him ever playing again being very small. And I love when I see shots of him at various events.
I can't wait to see a few years down the track how the players who have been developed in the system under him turn out, it certainly looks positive though.
