Agreed. I really like Rajala but I guess the Habs don't need another tiny center, but I'm not complaining about Nattinen, I like the kid too.

NHL European Scouting Service
“Joonas plays very well at both ends of the ice and moves the puck well from both sides. He’s a good passer on his backhand and is utilized on the penalty kill. He is physically strong on the boards and is hard to knock down in this level.”

Red Line has him ranked at 31, compared him to Jordan Staal and Bobby Holik. Big abrasive center, hard to play against.

Nattinen will be a steal .. huge right hand shooting two way Center .. classic 3rd line center.

I'm not following the draft live, can you explain how Burke fits into this?

No. This pick has nothing to do with Burke.

The thing I like about Nattinen and LeBlanc is that both are gritty and highly competitive plus they play center. I wouldn't mind taking a chance on Berube the next pick.

Not that it means much, but The Hockey News' preview mentions that Nattinen, in the best case, could turn out to be exactly that. However, if he turns out to be a big 3rd line centre who can play at both ends (basically how his "curve" is projecting), then I don't think I or anyone can complain. Seems like a great pick and a solid player to watch develop.

Holik? Holik has a much thicker frame.

Clearly, Timmins grabed the BPA with Leblanc, Nattinen and Bennett. All great picks!

And the first 2 picks are big centers!!!
