Pelech Giordano pairing MAY BE fine but that gives no depth in the system. Defense depth is key to success. Who will be the injury replacement for your scenario?

his mom

I think Sutter will sign a cheap #6/7 guy personally... I feel Pardy will find a place where he can play more... because lets be honest should Bouwmeester resign Pardy would not play much even in an everyday role... guys I think Sutter could target are...

Cory Murphy
Ken Klee
Kent Huskins
Bret Hedican
Steve Montador
Shane Hnidy
Jassen Cullimore

Wouldn't mind seeing Montador come back from that list

Huskins is solid and underrated as well... If Bouwmeester was signed, with Phaneuf and Giordano already in the lineup, there really isn't much room for a defenceman who plays like Pardy, let him walk and pick up a player with a similar style to Vandermeer, defensive minded.

Negrin ? Aulie ? Maybe...if we can't sign a veteran defenseman.

Montador would be a good choice.

While I wasn't thrilled by the Erixson pick, I have to give Sutter credit for his 2 Dman trades. Excellent work!

And there is no reason to let Pardy walk when you can probably sign him for Giordano money (1 million). I'd rather give that money to Pardy than some vet that never was.
