Ryan O’Reilly & Stefan Elliott

I've heard good reviews about these two guys. Can anyone give me some info on these two, please? Who do they play like and what's their potential?

Thanks

I've heard Gilbert for Elliot. Not sure about O'Reilly.

Haven't seen O'Reilly play so I'm just going to take a shot in the dark and pray for Chris Drury II.

O'Reilly is a very smart player, can play top minutes in all situations, is a great leader and 2 way forward. His skating has always been criticized but he has worked hard to improve that (and no one works harder than he does).

I really hoped he would have been around for the Sens in the 2nd, you'll really enjoy him in Colorado in a few years.

a disapointed canucks fan who is not happy to see them both in Colorado.

That obviously means good things.

With Elliott think, John-Michael Liles with a bigger frame and a legit shot, that at least could keep guys honest.

O'Reilly, I see as a very good 3rd liner in the mould of Andrew Ladd (size, strength, offensive ability) with better playmaking skills. A character forward, every team wishes they could have a guy like him.

I was ticked that Elliot was taken one pick before Burke took Kenny Ryan. It's not like Elliot's a lock, but his raw skill is leaps and bounds above most drafted around him.

Elliott was taken so close to Vancouvers pick (Which people said we would have taken him in the first round if Jordan didn't drop in our laps from heaven.

I've heard comparisons to Mike Green for Elliot, while O'Reilly I've heard comparisons to Kesler.

as a canucks fan, i'm miserable you got'em both, especially elliott. i think elliott's gonna be an outstanding offensive d-man who will learn to handle his own zone very well. he was the chl (i believe) scholastic player of the year. very good chance to be a top-pairing guy, IMO.
