Thoughts on USDP players (drafted)?

Just wondering, for those of you who follow Team USA (U18)... what are your thoughts on these players...

Kenny Ryan
Jerry D'Amigo

The Maple Leafs took Ryan at #50 and D'Amigo at #158. I've read comparisons for D'Amigo (Zach Parise-lite), but I'm not holding my breath. The last time we took a smaller kid from the USNDP U18 team was Robbie Earl, he didn't turn out too great.

How does D'Amigo compare to Robbie Earl?

Also, from what I've read Kenny Ryan is a warrior. Good size, good skater, complete forward... his favourite player is Darren McCarty. Thoughts on that comparison?

Other fans, please feel free to throw in the guys your teams picked and hopefully we can have the knowlegable American fans comment on them.

I'm not sure what to think about D'Amigo. He has a good skillset and is a hard worker, but his overall package is kind of dime a dozen. Ryan on the other hand saw his stock rise steadily throughout the year and was highly thought of by NHL scouts. Moderate skill level, but possesses a compete level that might be able to add production at the next level. He'll make a nice piece on a team's third line.
