This is a "call it" kinda thread. Whose gonna be the best one of the group?

I will say Bertilsson because he seems to be the best developed, will get exposure by hopefully playing in the WJC's and because I won't be convinced we can develop a starting goalie until it happens. However, Lauridsen might be the one I'm most excited about, although that might be because I'll have chances to see him play.

This. He's the only one I realistically see making an impact in the NHL.

I picked Bertillson. Both him and the other d-man sound like our best picks but I think Bertillson is the most likely to make it because he is already in a pretty great league w/ the SEL, so he could potentially make the NHL, while Lauridsen is only in the NCAA which I don't imagine compares to the SEL (not a knock on the NCAA).

I picked Bertilsson as well but Wellwood's speed and stick handling impressed me. Looks like he gets knocked down way too easily though.

I picked Oliver. You can't teach that size on the blue line. Plus I love St. Cloud State. I CALLED IT

This. Where's the "none of the above" option?

I'll got with a D, just because the odds are against a goalie drafted by the flyers, the D may at least get in a few games.

Does this include pre-season exhibition games? If it does then a goalie might actually get a shot as this past pre-season when the Flyers came to D.C. to play the Caps they had some prospect in goal- they didn't do very well and were pulled after letting in three goals.

I'm taking a blind leap of faith, and going with Morrison. I think he's going to have a big season this year as the starter in Saskatoon, and he'll have a meteoric rise like Steve Mason. I don't think he'll end up winning a Calder trophy in a few seasons, like Mason, but I think he could end up being a starter for the Flyers, years from now.

those games with the Caps are all prospects, a few guys might have played a handful of NHL games but that's it. they aren't even real preseason games

Ditto.

I have a gut feeling about Rio. Of course, it may just be indigestion too, so whatever.
