Worked fine between Koivu and Tanguay.

Besides, Tanguay scored more goals than anyone else on the team, when you factor in icetime.

What's up with not offering Tanguay a contract?

I can kind of see why Koivu was not made an offer. He doesn't fit in with Gomez and Plekanec.

But can someone explain to me whu Tanguay could not be offered a new contract? Is he not fit as a top 2 line winger on our team right now?

I don' t think it's a money issue. Lang (4M) + Koivu (4.5M) = Gomez (7.3M) + Metropolit (1.0M).

If Gainey doesn't land at least a Havlat or a Hossa or a Gaborik to eplace him it will be yet another debacle. Having said that I feel havlat is a step down from Tanguay.

And I don't know who' replacing Higgins' 25 goals next year. I guess Gainey's depending on Dags and sergei for that.

How else do you expect the Habs to pay for Gomez's bazillion dollar contract.

I don't get it either,

I have to go and throw up again........... this is not been good for my health, i;m sick. I think today we have taken 5 steps back, no chance for Lecavalier, no chance for Sedins, they are going to make Tanguay walk, even Kovolev should have gotten an offer, I just don't get it, 7.5 is a lot of money to spend on a player which should be in the 4-5 range in my oppinion. bad bad day for hab fans.
