What is Gainey`s plan

He deicided to wait till July 1st to negotiate with Koivu and Tanguay. Risky move. Does he know something we don`t? He is working on a trade. I hope it`s Lecavalier. I do not want Briere nor Gomez. Give me Simon Gagne yes. The Sedin twins, yes. Beauchemin, yes. Antropov yes. Mathias Ohlund possibly. But I want the Habs to trade Hamlick in a package deal. Is there a way to get Anze Kopitar?

Yes. Build a time machine, find a way to lure Bob Gainey in it and set it to take him back to morning of July 30, 2005.

Made that just for fun... my plan I guess

Moved Higgins out of the lineup I know, but didn't fit at his salary.

It took me 30 seconds to find out what those letters in front of the names were.

His plan is to blow up the team for a rebuild while not looking like he's blowing the team up.

There is no plan. He left everything for the last minute. Clearly he can't multitask either. He throwing up hail marys hoping that one or two stick. My prediction.....no trades, no UFAs, maybe Kovy sticks around but the rest walk. I don't think anyone has ever seen such ineptness when it comes to selling players on the team and getting them to sign contracts. It's mind boggling.

Eklund posted tonight Bob is after the Sedin twins and the Vinny deal isn't looking good. Bob should have resigned some of the players to use for trade bait.
