It's a ****ing great contract.

Molson's all around if he plays less than 75 games this year.

I don't care about Gaborik. I do care that we have done nothing.

Crappy draft following by a crappy FA market means......

There are quotes from him saying he would have liked to play in LA. What makes you think he didn't want to come here?

Gaborik better not have wanted to play for the Kings. To have not signed him for that contract otherwise, to me is not acceptable unless he's after Havlat.

Heatley's in Edmonton.

Khabi and Heatley, means one more team the Kings have to improve over in order to make the playoffs.

If in fact Cammy was Gainey's #1 target, then yes. I'm really in no position to know, however.

With that news, well, ****.

Some people are just bitter because the Kings great GM is saving the owners money while other GM's are finding ways to ice winning hockey teams.
This is what I'm really starting to think. I was completely ok with all the rhetoric regarding cap flexibility and keeping together the core etc. But the Rangers have gone out of their way to step on their ***** the last couple of offseasons and have yet to suffer any major consequences.

I'm starting to think that Dean needs to stop worrying about cap problems and pay to put top-tier talen on the ice. If and when the cap problems arise, I expect Dean Lombardi to do what a good GM should do - work over a lesser GM and take care of the problem. The way GMs interact with each other is no different that how teams interact with each other on the ice- there are good teams and there are bad teams. The good teams have the talent to do what it takes to beat the lesser teams. If Dean Lombardi is a top-notch GM, prove it by making risky moves and then out-working other GMs when you need some relief.

5.5? That's gotta be a joke? How did Sather go from worst GM ever to businessman of the year?

He has to prove he is worth the money and can lead this team for a decade. He has to grow up and behave like a professional athlete and stay in shape.
And would not the development of Kopitar be accelerated if he were not only in shape but learning how to play from a talented veteran with complementary scoring and passing abilites rather than having to be forced to carry his line more on his own shoulders than should otherwise be expected of a young player?

I think the answer to that question is self-evident.
