I don't think its a bad idea giving the guy a chance for one year. I mean if its cheap and TO really does not have that many descent forwards at the very least he can chip in on the PP

I would do it given the history Burke has with the guy and if its like 1.5 tops

Honestly if TO keeps Kaberle then they really have no chance of getting a top Forward anyways

just be happy your beloved Leafs have some hope in net with Gustavson plus Toskala should rebound with a better D in front of him and could be trade bait at the deadline

Leafs have a good top 7 D, just waive Finger and deal VanRyn to round it out

Bertuzzi would be a horrible signing at the league minimum.

He would bring nothing that this team needs. This would be an absolutely pointless signing. The guy doesn't backcheck and just floats around the ice now. Why leave the roster spot and let someone in the system earn the spot? If we do get him we better sign 3 or 4 more PKers cause we will be spending half the game on the PK with all the penalties the new roster additions take.

will be so disappointed if it happens. it's a backwards step and just because his name is Brian Burke does not mean everything he does is right. I enjoyed what he has done thus far but maybe he is stubborn about some things. Bertuzzi would be an illness to the rest of the team and bring about unncessary ********

Bertuzzi has made it known that he would like to sign in Calgary. The Flames have enough cap room now to sign him.

I just love the title.
It's so.... menacing, bold, apocalyptic and fine at the same time.

I wouldn't mind Bertuzzi on a reasonable 1 year deal. We're competing for a playoff spot not a lottery pick so I see no downside in bringing him in at the right price.

The sort of class act every rebuilding team needs and a fine example for the younger players. He might even get a dozen goals next year. And then there is that shortage of third and fourth line players that this signing would surely address.

God, no.
