Well, looks like we have seen the last of X under a Thrashers jersey. First, I would like to wish him the best for his future, he was a terrific late round draft pick for us. But he personified the lowly Thrashers we would like to leave behind us... XLB has a big heart but limited talent and after his concussion, has no business being on the top 6 of playoff contender.
My favorite moment was when he knocked down the 3 Avalanche players in a row
Farewell X, I'll be sure to cheer when you come to Philips next season. But I think this a positive sign that we're moving forward and leaving the past behind...
Will miss X, probably nostalgia of being the most tenured on the team......will be strange to see the team without him, but I guess its time to start fresh.
I thought he was improving up until his leg injury this past season, but it certainly wasn't always golden with his defensive play. He took a lot of beatings on these boards by us all, but he was decent when he was within his abilities and not over-extending for the "big hit", and occasionally under Anderson, picking the wrong spot to pinch.
Great character with the fans, media (burgendy, etc...), and probably the same in the lockerroom.
Good luck in Toronto, try not to kill this team with big, jolting, hits.
