and I can't wait to hear BUT OMFG WE HAVE JON QUICK AND HE WAS INVITED TO THE US CAMP people.

He's still got a ways to go to solidify himself as a bonafide NHL #1. Biron can help the process in many ways.

Very possible in which case you are right, move him.

I personally think there is a strong possibility DL acquires a decent veteran goalie. After the Cloutier and Labarbara debacles, I could see him not wanting to put all his eggs in one basket with Quick.

and really, why should he? Yes Quick is going to be a very good goaltender in the league, and possibly the Kings' #1 for awhile, but it doesn't have to be right now. I would not be at all opposed to a Biron/Quick tandem in any way, shape, or form. I'd feel comfortable going into any game with either one of them.

This makes sense because improving our goaltending was the least of our worries going into the off-season

I'm a little surprised to hear this, but on some thought, not that surprised. Quick had a decent year, but it was only one season (and not even a full one at that). He may or may not be ready for primetime, and Biron, while not elite, is a solid goaltender. And, yes, I've also heard from elsewhere that he's a total likable locker room guy.

Before we freak out, let's wait and see if any other media outlet reports it

But is he any good at ping pong? The team will be losing Armstrong this year so we need somebody to replace his paddle.

He'll have plenty of time to get good if he's riding the pine half the season.

Ya, you think it would come easier year after year, but it doesn't. I am sorry, but I just cant put reason to doing this, how does this help us from getting shut out what 11 times? I think that would be the main thing to address, oh wait, we did, the kids have to get better then everything will just hammer itself out. While I think that the young players on this team DO need to come prepared to play in the best physical and mental condition, I just don't see the depth on this team that will allow us to make the playoffs.

Sends a good message to Quick too. Nothing is set in stone kid. By the way, this is how you be a pro in the NHL.
Shut Up! Lets come in last but hey we got a bunch of great guys in the locker. That Biron he's no great it makes losing fun!!!!

What went wrong with Biron? They traded for him to be their #1. Did he play badly last year?

Puzzled that anyone would be upset about the prospect of upgrading in goal. As someone else noted, Biron is better than Esberg. What happens to Esberg if we sign Biron? I don't know and don't really care. I'm not losing any sleep regarding what's in store for Armstrong either.

Frustration over the fact that no scoring winger has been signed shouldn't blind you from recognizing that an upgrade is an upgrade. We can use upgrades in every position on the team.

Apparently asked for too much. We have money to spend as long its a short-term contract.
