Preds should sign Afinogenov

The guy just needs a change of scenery I believe very strongly. We could sign him for cheap and could be an AMAZING steal that could get us past the first round of the playoffs. Arnott has said a few times now that we need more offense and Poile has to do something if he wants the team to go deep into playoffs.
Imagine Arny had Max beside him!! That would rock!!

We coudl sign him for probably 2 mill a year.

From 61 points in 56 games to 48 points in 104 games. He works hard, but I doubt he even gets an NHL contract this year.

Let's get Kotalik instead.

why, so he and Erat can bet dinner on who can hold the puck longer without shooting before coughing it up?

I've been saying this all week to Hipcheck. He should be cheap and worth a shot.

I think he would be a good signing. I would bring in Kotalik or Afinogenov, and then sign a guy like Mckee on the back end.

It's the type of gamble that you should consider when you are cash strapped. Would he be worse than Hornqvist? Probably not.

Enh. Do you really think he can put up 20 Legwand and Erat? He doesn't really seem all that much different from Ward to me.

I think he's got more raw talent than Ward, who relies almost solely on being in the right place at the right time to score goals. I think Pyatt is more like a poor-man's hartnell...whereas Ward is a rich man's Fiddler.

Afinogenov, to me, is another soft "finesse" player who lives on the perimeter. I'm not sure there'd be real-estate enough for Erat, Dumont and Afinogenov to all squeeze themselves outside the play.

Kotalik isn't much better, but at least he's more "shoot-first."

Predators Fans- REALLY- go spend your time sucking back beers, cutting the grass or barbecuing- Poile IS NOT going to sign anyone else or make a trade for a scorer. The Predators will be a team of boys playing among men yet again this coming season. The sooner everyone accepts that the less painful it will be for all....
