Johnathon, if you're ever in the mood for some friendly competition, my gamertag is the same as my name here.

Regarding balance and characters compared to Street Fighter... SF obviously has more characters, but IMO BlazBlue's roster is superior. Every character feels totally different, which you really can't say about SF, even if you disregard Ryu/Ken/Akuma/Gouken. Beyond that, it's so much more complex than SF (which, IMO, feels very dated despite the graphics).

There's a character "v-13" aka Nu who is really projectile-happy, and it seems kind of cheap at times, but that's offset by the fact that she has a really small amount of HP compared to most characters.

Just played through the arcade mode as Ragna the Bloodedge.

Holy ****. What an intense game even on Normal difficulty. This game is incredible. My hands hurt from all the moves I was trying to pull off.

The art is gorgeous, too.

This might be the best fighter I have ever played and I was a big Guilty Gear fan.

For shame.

For shame.

My Live subscription runs out tomorrow, but I've got a 48 hour trial to use, then I'll renew again.

Heh. Well, gamefly skipped BlazBlue, FightNight, AND Dynasty Warriors, and a few others and gave me Street Fighter. Sadface. Oh well, I'll try to at least have some fun with it.

That sucks big time. SF is my favorite fighter franchise ever, but SF4 was a letdown for me. I thought it was pretty "bleh" stylistically (despite the awesome looking promos for the game), the 3-d characters look awkward and ugly, the gameplay was dated at somewhere between SF2 and SF3: Third Strike (my favorite fighter ever, unless BlazBlue surpasses it), the roster was terrible (seriously, if I wanted to play SF2, I'd play SF2), not to mention the balance issues, bland environments, etc... I actually preferred SF2 HD Remix, due in part to the awesome soundtrack from OCRemix.

An alternative would be to drive down to Americaland and pick up a copy in a store. Depends how close you are to the border though.

I'm definitely getting better at this game. I got 4 hate messages today, and also had a few people pull their connection before losing.

I ordered the Limited edition online, though it was out of stock on order. Hopefully it actually gets ordered.

There aren't any Gamestop/EB Games around you that have it? I called a few places around me and two were sold out, but two had it.

I've been too lazy to put much effort into it. Plus, it's hard for me to find the time to go hunting around for it. The ones I did visit a few times were sold out each time and weren't too sure on when the next shipments would be.

I'm also tempted to pick up rock band special ed. for 95 bucks (PS3) but my 1bd apt is crowded enough. Gonna have to wait till I move.

Anyways, the game still looks good. SF4 is fun but some of the combos and moves are insanely hard to pull off. I'm trying to do some of the trials and I wanna throw my controller it's so frustrating. I'm not as fast and accurate as I used to be!
