What would your team give for Douglas Murray, Brad Lukowich, or Jonathan Cheechoo?

As everyone knows, the Sharks are in need of cap space to fill out their roster. But virtually no one wants to trade top young guys like Vlasic, Ehrhoff, or Michalek. And Marleau, JT, and Nabby have NTC's. Given the signing of Huskins, which prospects might be ready to step into the NHL, and Petrecki being ready in a couple of years or less, the best way I can get the Sharks under the cap with a full roster is by trading Cheechoo, Lukowich, and Murray. I am assuming they will start the season off with a 21-man roster and use the extra spot for call-ups from the AHL at least until they have built some more cap space. Here is what a possible depth chart would look like:

Marleau (6.3) - JT (7.2) - Setoguchi (1.25)
Michalek (4.34) - Pavs (1.64) - Clowe (3.6)
McGinn (.997) - Mitchell (1.0) - ??
Shelley (.725) - ?? - Staubitz (.500)
??

Boyle (6.67) - Ehrhoff (3.1)
Vlasic (3.1) - Blake (3.5)
Huskins (1.7) - Moore (1.0)
Joslin (.515)

Nabby (5.375)
Griess (.750)

Total CURRENT Cap Hit: $53,247,501
Cap Remaining: $3,552,499

So what would your team offer for any one or any group of the players above? The Sharks will need a 3rd-line RW, a 4th-line Center, and a depth forward (preferably a LW or RW).

Some rules for what you are offering to the Sharks:
1) Any players you send back will need to have a cap hit of $850k or less.
2) The Sharks will also take picks or prospects and fill out the roster themselves.
3) If you are sending back players, they MUST fill a need above.
4) If you are sending back prospects, they MUST be forward prospects. The Sharks have more than enough D and goalie prospects.

EDIT: PLEASE limit offers to the players specified in this thread. Discussion of Marleau, Heatley, and who knows else can go in their respective threads. Thanks!

Hansen for Cheechoo?

Makes some sense for both teams but Cheechoo is still too much of a wildcard.

Conroy for Cheechoo?

Frees up a center spot for someone like Boyd, and Flames gain second line scoring with about 1 million or more so for call ups. But that's probably not enough cap space for the Flames.

Jeff Finger for Doug Murray

Oops I broke Rule number 1

I guess you can have Jamie Devane for him since we just signed Greenop

Fernando Pisani for Douglas Murray.

Playoff performer and excellent PK/defensive RW.

Murray for Brouwer, Fraser, and a 2nd?

This is obviously depending on whether or not these guys are UFAs

Danny Paille and (pick/prospect) for Murray? SJ picks up about $1.2 million in cap space.

Schubert and Donovan for Cheech?

that fills 13th forward and 3rd line winger. Donovan is fast and can PK. Schubert can hit, block shots, and PK as a defenseman or forward.

Flyers are running out of picks. Part of the reason they're going that is apparently they have faith in the prospect they have.

I'm terrible at proposals but how about Stajan and Stuart and a pick(3rd /4th rounder) for all 3? SJ adds $2.3 in salary in Stajan and Stuart who can fill the roles SJ needs and there's no long term commitment as both will be UFA's.

Leafs can get their pick back by moving some of the extra D and add a potential top 6 forward who can score.

Folks, please keep in mind the salary limit of $850k per player coming back and the roster spots the Sharks need. Daley's great, but not only is he a D (position not needed) but his cap hit is $2.3 mil. Conroy is over the salary limit. Pisani is over the limit. Pacorietty is just over, and might be made to work depending on other contracts (and would probably be the type of player the Sharks want). Paille would also be the right type of player, but I don't think they could jigger the cap space enough to afford him.

Also, the Sharks will prefer young players over vets of declining skill. Their prospect pool at forward is so shallow that these players might have to be around for a while.

No problem JVR or Giroulx will be fine. In all seriousness we need wing prospects how is Nodl?

We don't need anymore D. And why trade a potential top 6 forward (Stajan) for a potential top 6 forward(Cheechoo)? And give up the guy who will hopefully lead our pk this season (Stuart)? For TWO more dmen? You make no sense at all.

Paille, Brouwer, Nodl, Schubert, and Hansen (prefer Raymond) are all interesting. Picks and prospects are always good. I would do probably any of those deals though.

We don't need D, unless Ehrhoff or Vlasic are involved in bigger deals.

Our primary needs are winger and PMD prospects (note: our defensive d prospects may be the best group in the nhl, unsure whether Giroux, Joslin, Braun, or Demers can crack the offensive D spot), picks, a third line RW, and a 4th line. Ideally our 4th liners will offer speed, grit, and defensive ability. A little offense would be nice, but hey it is a 4th line.

Yeah, but the only one of your players who meets the cap constraints is Tlusty. So Tlusty + picks or prospects would probably be what the Sharks would want. However, you guys already have 9 defenseman signed, and you want to add another one?

Looking at teams in the east that need D, Tampa, Buffalo, and maybe Florida seem most in need. Tampa is familiar with Luko. Buffalo would probably really use a big physical defenseman like Murray. Florida seems more in need of a puck-moving D than a physical one.

Florida does seem to have an abundance of cheap signed forwards though, so maybe they would be interested in Cheechoo? I'm not that familiar with their players though.

Didn't think so. Even if Murray is the type of player Burke dreams about on having on his defense.
