Nothing against Hispanics or Italians.
If you have nothing against hispanics or italians, then wtf is wrong with having hispanics or italians?

I'm not sure if they have the cap room, but they should try and sign Beachemin and a cheap winger like Kotalik.

Zubov would also be a good option to replace Schneider on the PP.

I really hope they do sign Kotalik, if they have the money left.

We are heavier than the Bruins...check your facts. We needed players who don't get injured often and grit. Size is not a problem. The habs have more speed than most team ever dreamed of. We have now 3 pure scorers, LOTS of speed. And yes we have SIZE. We can play rough whenever needed. We have d-men who can move the puck. We have 2 very good young goaltenders with more experience. We have a coach with a system and a coach that will not tolerate anything bad for the team. We have good passers. We have arguably the best fighter. The habs are gonna surprise next year. They will play as a team again and get back in the top 5 teams in the east. We are gonna score goals like crazy again with our pure speed. We have no problem playing against big tough teams. The more you hit the habs, the harder they play. We alkso have the best pest in the NHL.

Laugh all you want this team is a lot better than most HF posters think. Gainey will also bring in a forward and a D-man. He also said the first day was the time to get talent. Now he is gonna make the team bigger and tougher. Even though we don't really need it. We have some tough kids. We are gonna get better and better for the next five years.

I'm surprised the OP is still making threads.

Anyway... Gainey has very limited Cap flexibility. The only thing he should do is target a shutdown d not named Hall gill to replace Komisarek.

I am pretty sure the Bruins would be pretty happy to match an offer of $4 mil, that is if Kessel would even sign an offer sheet for $4 mil.

Is that you Rejean Houle? I thought they said years ago they had him barred from these boards.

Not really...
Gomez, Gionta, Cammalleri, Gill, Spacek @ 25mil< Kovalev, Koivu, Tanguay, Higgins, Komisarek @ 19mil approx.

Koivu @3.5> Gomez @7.5
Tanguay @4.5> Gionta @5
Kovalev&Higgins at 7> Cammalleri @6
Komisarek @4.5>>> Spacek&Gill @6

So imagine you save the 6million... with a superior team. Allows you to still shake up the team to get a new feel, AND gives you way more depth. I'm not by any stretch a Habs Basher, but I really feel Gainey did not do well here.

That's pretty much all wrong. He asked if the team was better, talent for talent. Gomez is much better than Koivu. Spacek alone is better than last year's Komi. Gionta and Tanguay are comparable, though Gionta fits more with Gomez. Cammalleri is much more consistent than Kovy. There's no doubt the team as it stands is better, and you're just making assumptions about their contracts.
