Jason Allison

Will L.A re-sign him? And if they do, will he produce offense like before ? Is Jason Allison finished ?

Yeah, I wonder if a team would take a chance on him. He'd probably have to sign for the minimum with incentives for games played.

That didn't work to well w/ Lindros last season so I think most teams will stayaway from games played incentives. (Besides points will be more effective and he will need to play to reach those points).

Whoever signs him will be taking high risk. Since contracts are guarenteed, I would expect that a team will only sign him to a 1 year deal.

He'll probably sign with an east-coast team. But he's mentioned before he's worth his current numbers

Maybe, maybe not. From what I have heard, they could qualify him at 80 percent of his current contract(roughly 5,466,666 mil) and make it a two way deal as well. Sure he may not sign a two way deal or a pay cut, but he will if he doesn't want to sit for three years.

How does that work? I thought teams had to qualify a guy for at least what he made the season before. I didn't think he could be offered a two-way deal as a qualifier since his previous contract was one way.

you can offer a 2 way contract, as that's what happened with Lindros in philly.

...I'm not sure exactly. That's just what someone(in the know) had said.

Also with Boston and McLaren if I'm not mistaken.

Legionnaire...I love that avatar. I think that may have been the funniest South Park episode I have ever seen. I was laughing so hard watching it, that I think I broke a rib. It was so damn funny.

Allison will not be back with the Kings. Trust me on this. He has put his house up for sale, and upper management despises him so much that even if he were healthy, he would not be re-signed. He's gone.

Allison got into it with Murray when Andy came out and said the Allison was ready to play. Allison was still suffering from whiplash, and said he wasn't sure if he'd play this season.

If I'm LA, I qualify Allison on a 2 way deal, and see how desperate he was? If he really wants to play, he'd take a pay cut, and LA could trade him somewhere.

It's from two people extremely close to the organization. There is no lost love between Allison and the Kings. They (the Kings) feel he can play right now- he feels otherwise. That coupled with run-ins with Andy Murray and rookies (Cammalleri) is enough for management to want him out. You guys don't have to believe me, but that's the truth

I just hope the Kings do something constructive with Allison's insurance money....

I don't know if it's true or not... I haven't seen confirmation, but people were saying that Allison said last year he didn't want Cammalleri on the same line with him. He didn't want to play with him or something to that effect.

Absolutely true. Allison didn't think a rookie "deserved" to play on a line with him. The guy is definetly arrogant, supposedly not with rookies only, but with everybody.

Has there ever been any love lost between Allison and any team he has played with?
