I am told this has caused some serious dislike in the family of Brian Burke.
And who can blame Burke for that one. That was highway robbery if I ever saw it.

The goals would be nice to see again, but I'm okay with Burrows @ 2 mil even if he only scores 10, so long as he continues his great work on the PK and agitating.

Moore's agent is Larry Kelly who is a respected agent with Octagon.

Biron is represented by Gilles Lupien who is a firebrand.

Glen Sather already chucked Moore off the Rangers when he had the "balls" to file for salary arbitration three years ago after 1 productive NHL season. Moore has done this before. He went from the Rangers to Pittsburgh to Minnesota to Toronto only to reject a 3 year contract. Sather traded Moore in the three team deal with Pittsburgh and Nashville. The Rangers ended up with Adam Hall.

yep. the guy is a 3rd line C. He used to be just a 4th line C and PK guy

he will regret not resigning in TO where he would get playing time and descent cash

he finally found a home and was greedy

Yes to both. He was primarily a checker/penalty killer for the first while with the Leafs, but he's good at face-offs, fast, and has his moments of brilliant ice vision [which are too infrequent to consider him an 'offensive player'], knows the defensive zone well, and will sacrifice himself to make plays, both offensive and defensive. He'll also stand up for teammates if he really has to [ie: a lot while he was on the 08/09 Leafs team!!!]. He wore the 'A' for a bit in Toronto, got it taken away, as they were rotating it, but ended up having it for most of the 08/09 season - he and Jason Blake also had some fabulous chemistry together.

I really want him back on Toronto, actually. I personally think he's 'C' material, regardless of whether he's on 2nd line or 3rd line, but that could and probably is just be me.

Hopefully he'll play a bigger role on a team than fourth line centre this year.

After watching this guy play in Minnesota for - what - a season and a half, two seasons - all I can say is if he finally found someone stupid enough to offer him 4.5 million guaranteed dollars, he's an even bigger fool for passing it up. If the Wild had charged him admission for every game he watched from the press box, they'd have come out ahead on his contract, and he'd have still gotten more than full value simply for the opportunity to watch so many better hockey players show him how it's done.

For some odd reason, this reminds me of this scene in the classic film "The Great Escape":

(skip ahead to around the 5 minute 25 second mark...):

He might be thinking that it's only July 7th. This was never going to be anyone's top free agency target. Why should a player in his pay grade necessarily have been snapped up by now?

He should have taken Burke's offer, no way he gets more than 1.5.

i love the whole, he wouldnt give up ufa and sign for less with us, so now he is screwed talk.

of course he went for ufa, who wouldnt? how many chances do you get to go for the highest bidder? he had a great year, of course he went for it. were like one week into ufa, and youre laughing at the guy cause he hasnt gone yet? of course thereis a solid chance he would make more as a ufa. if its oct and he hasnt signed, maybe this thread makes sense.
