I'm fully expecting OEL to make the team and Schlemko to be our 7th d-man.
Next year we may have Goncharov, Gormley and Summers competing for the spots left by Aucoin and Rozsival, although it's probably more likely one of those 2 will be filled via trade or UFA acquisition.
This guy is a natural in the booth. How long until he takes over for Tyson Nash.
I appreciate that he fills a role, staged or not, that 90% of all teams utilize as often or more than the Coyotes. He does a good job and he was +6 last season
Whitney-Hanzal-Vrbata worked well starting all the way back in the last training camp, all the way to game four of our beat down. Probably worth having another look at.
Langkow has lost a step. Which is a step Doan never had. The same could probably be said of MacLean, Pyatt, and Torres. Any of which I like as LWs on that line.
Korpikoski will likely be centering a line while Turris is pouting in time out. I can't think a more perfect linemate than Mikkel Boedker for him. Miele is a bit of a water bug, and would be a nice fit on that line, if he's actually NHL ready. If not, Nokelainen may be the only option we have to bring a little sand paper to the line, without being left behinf in the dust, as I can't really see Torres or Pyatt keeping up with those two.
Gordon will center the fourth line. Two of Pyatt, Torres, Nokelainen, Tikhonov will flank him on either side, I imagine.
Assuming that guys on one-way contracts make the squad and the two-way, waiver exempt guys get sent down...
Didn't Korpikoski and Nokelainen dominate on a line together during their younger days? That could be a good fit while Turris is still watching old episodes of Oprah on his DVR, or I guess it's PVR for Canadians.
This is one of the better line combos I've seen put forward here. What really intrigues me would be the Noki-Korpi-Boeds line. That's a line that could be used in virtually any situation without negative repercussion and I could very easily see it being overlooked by other teams leading to some good chances for it.
A Mac-Langs-Doan would probably get smoked by any line with a moderate amount of speed, so I would consider switching Vrbata and Doan depending on the situation/who we're playing.
I havent seen him much since he left sweden, so id very much like to know how his performance has been since he came over to america. How was he last season? how has he been this training camp? He has so much talent, so im really hoping this kid turns out to be a franchise D
What do you think, will OEL get top minutes this season?

Tippet recently said OEL has been our 2nd best D in camp next to Yandle so I think he'll be seeing time at the beginning of the season at least. He was getting heavy minutes at the beginning of last season as well but his play and confidence dropped off after a bit which led to less time and then being sent to the AHL for a while.
Tippett also said he think OEL will have a breakout year this year. So it will really be up to OEL as to how much time he gets I think.
He started out camp looking really good, but he's looked pretty over matched the last few games. I think at best he could see some spot duty in the NHL this year if we get hit with injuries but I'd be surprised if he makes the team out of camp barring a huge pick up in his play the rest of this week. He has some serious skill but I don't think his reactions and decision making is quite fast enough yet.
He's looked good, I think. If he keeps playing on the top line, plus on the PP and the PK, and stays healthy, he may log more ice time than any other forward on this team.
Islander fan coming in peace. Just noticed MacLean on waivers. Never seen him play. Can someone give me an idea of how he plays and what they know about him? Also noticed he played with Tavares in 2007 and played well. Thanks!
Big forward who can shoot well and has a knack for the back of the net. His one down side is his feet. He is a slow skater and doesnt always have the best first step. He has produced at every level but had a poor training camp and preseason, which he openly admits to, and therefor has been waived. He is undoubtedly the first person to get the call up once injuries or poor performance occur.
