Canucks State of the Franchise, Thurs. July 9/09 - Streamed Live on Canucks.com @ 6PM

Just a heads up to everyone, according to their official Twitter, the annual State of the Franchise event will be streamed live on Canucks.com. If anyone knows what time it starts, let me know and I'll update the title.

Starts at 6PM according to Twitter:

VanCanucksWatch the #Canucks State of the Franchise LIVE on Canucks.com at 6pm! http://canucks.nhl.tv/team/console.j...d=616&id=44829

State of the Union will be streamed on canucks.com

Just a heads up: the SOTU will be streamed on canucks.com. This was just announced on the Canucks twitter feed.

not enough golf courses open in Vancouver in the winter to help keep Gretz occupied.

Twitter is amazing for hockey news. I've got TheFourthPeriod, Darren Dreger, official Canucks and Jason Botchford feeding me info. Any others I'm missing?

Someone should ask Gillis how to properly pronounce Rodin's name.

I'm thinking it's similar to the way Modin is pronounced.

Well it's either ROW-DEEN or REH-DEEN.

or it could be American style: ROW-DIN

This one. It kind of sounds like Sedin (according to a clip posted in his draft thread).

Elliot Friedman's is pretty good, and Andy Strickland has insider info on the Blues and Canucks.

Walsh or w/e his name is, Havlat's agent. And I think Havlat has a feed of his own. I'm sure there are plenty of others.

This is how I would draft players. Forget watching them play and potential, just say their names over and over in hockey situations and if it sounds good/right, then you draft them. SIMPLE!

Exactly, haha. Pulkinen will be a bust, but Granlund will make it.

Right, but it only works with Europeans. This philosophy gets a little dicey with North Americans when you have promising potential names like Patrick White and Nathan Smith.
