OK,OK! First off I am a Sens fan, I am not a Heatley fan or a Spezza fan. I am a SENS fan. Do I cheer for Spezza? Yes. Do I spill beer when Alfie pots a huge goal? Of course. But the issue, if you are a Sens fan is; does it really matter WHO is on the Sens? As long as we are winning...who cares?
I'd line up Chris Simon, Alexei Yashin and Todd Bertuzzi if it meant the Sens would win the cup. These guys are mostly all the same. It's a JOB, it is something done for a positive incentive: CASH MONEY! Some do it out of pride or some sense of duty, some even do it to have a name on a novelty sized fruit bowl. The point is, if Dany comes back and scores 4 goals in his home debut, how many people will BOO then?
Would I like to see Heatley dealt? Yes and No. If a deal passes by that will make the Sens better, than yes. If not than no.
Please Sens fans NO MORE Heatley trade proposals that have not been researched. Look at cap hits, team needs (not just ours) and depth charts, but more importantly look at the result. If the result makes the Senators worse or less flexible cap wise, just save yourself and all of us the time.
Rumors I'm OK with, but these proposals are driving me nuts. All it ends up turning into is 2 groups of fans trashing each others players and proposals.
Maybe it is just the Heatley situation, however it is gettting re-donk-u-lous
wow, i just now realized exactly how much time myself and others usually waste on the internet, just by being mostly away from it for a good portion of the last couple days (Via finding something else to do with my spare time)

But, if a guy is working in unhappy conditions, you likely won't get the same result, and his attitude may very will affect his co-workers.
You have to anticipate a diminished result if Healtey plays for the Sens this year. Sure, the Sens would take a trade that would make the better. But, what if that option isn't out there? Will a diminished trade return be better than a the diminishing effect of an unhappy Heatley? Hard to judge.
I fully endorse the sentiment of this post. (Although I think the discussions arising from the Columbus rumors were remarkably cordial, all things considered.)
The most recent Columbus proposals were more centered around the HOT HOT HOT EKLUND rumor , yet at least it was coming from somewhere. It is these "out of left field" 3 team trade proposals that are just crazy talk. Like the most recent 3 way trade with Ottawa, Edmonton, and Toronto; where basically the Original Ottawa Edmonton trade happens, yet Toronto steps in takes the 2 best players from the Ottawa/Edmonton trade, poops out Kaberle and Kulamin and makes off like bandits.
