Something that I haven't said yet on these boards, but have been meaning to:
Gaborik really excites me, because, for the first time as a serious Rangers fan, the team has a genuine no-holds-barred goal-scorer. Adam Graves and Mike Gartner were as famous for other aspects of their game (toughness, speed, smarts, defensive play) as their goal scoring. Tomas Sandström, with all due respect for one of the game's great shots, didn't have what Gaborik brings to the table. Jaromir Jagr wasn't wrong when he said that he feels he's more of a playmaker than a scorer (even though scoring alone was enough to make him a top 5 player in the league).
Gaborik is electrifying. The guy will make us stand up out of our seats as Rangers fans, I'm sure of it.
