More likely he will play in NHL in few years, or maybe after the upcoming season.
Or he might never make the NHL and will go KHL after the one year in Finland and after Spartak gets rid of one of the 5 Slovaks they already have. Iīm not convinced that he is good enough for the NHL.

Slovakia,

Why do you come here touting this kid to us Kings fans then say I don't think he's good enough for the NHL? You just like to tease us?

I never said that heīs not good enough for the NHL. I donīt really know what to think of him. Itīs so hard to judge a player thatīs playing alongside Palffy. Ziggy makes it so hard.

Any Word On Mikus?

All you King's fans out there with the pleasure of taking in the development camp have any sort of opinion yet on Juraj Mikus. Wondering whether he's all he's cracked up to be. What kind of player is he anyways,i.e., is he speedy, does he have great hands...etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated...Thanx a million

Juraj Mikus has signed a deal with Kings, so he will start his season in NA instead of Finland. But if he doesn't make to the Kings, it's possible that he will return to Europe.

Mikus: And the way Hanzal combs his hair.... Or, like, doesn't. It's like, "ex-squeeze" me, but have you ever heard of styling gel?

Ziggy: I'm sure Hanzal's heard of styling gel. He's a male model and plays in Phoenix. There is a lot of hair gel at work in the Phoenix area.

Mikus:Earth to Ziggy...I was making a joke.

Ziggy:Earth to Mikus. Duh, okay? I knew that.

Mikus:Earth to Ziggy.I'm not so sure you did 'cause you were all, "I'm sure he's heard of styling gel"...like you didn't know it was a joke!!

So is this guy actually going to get a look for the Kings or will he be in Manchester?

What is this? A center for ants? How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read...if they can't even fit inside the building! I don't want to hear your excuses! The center has to be at least...3 times bigger than this!

Perhaps he can take the 3rd line position. Interesting signing. If only it was Ziggy, but I will settle for Mikus

Montreal fans have been keeping tabs on this over on their own board. A couple of people thought he should have been signed. One interesting quote:

That is pretty high praise coming from a Habs fan

This signing may prove fruitful for us. I bet this kid comes into training camp with a good chance of earning one of those bottom 4 spots.

It's pluralized so it might be the announcement of Teddy Purcell's signing along with Juraj Mikus.

I think I see what's going on here. First day of camp, Ziggy shows up and starts looking around for his center. When he is told that Mikus has left to play for the Kings, Ziggy says he can not play with anyone else at center so he decides to come back to the Kings.

Then the Kings pull Stumpel back from hibernation and we win the Cup.

I like it Deanno!

Dravecky was never going to be anything other than a fourth liner in the NHL at very best. Mikus actually has some skill and could potentially be a second liner...at best...

Mikus needs to phone up Palffy and get him over here as well I think that he has a good shot at making the bottom 6 though, it sounds like it is here or overseas for him and the Kings agreed to it, so it will be an interesting training camp as it is do or die for him. Purcell is going to have a run for his money with all these youngsters gunning for these jobs. I think Moller should be concerned as well.
I don't. If he gets put in Manchester I think it will be because the Kings decide that in the long run, he will be better for it, and they want him to lead, if not captain the Monarchs. He is one of the better leaders in our prospect pool, certainly the most natural leader-type in our forward crop it would seem (though obviously we need to see more from some of the guys before we can really judge).

If anything, the other prospects should be worried they don't get caught up swooning over Moller during camp

Low risk, high reward signing. With the skilled forwards the Kings are finally bringing in like Lewis, Loktionov, Moller, Purcell, Azevedo, Mikus, Kozun, and Schenn, the likes of Zeiler, Richardson, and Harrolds days are numbered. And not soon enough. Hopefully this year.

Other stuff:

I'm old. Meh. I never liked that show--Kevin Arnold didn't have a younger brother, and KITT's voice never seems right coming out of an actual human.

Hockey:

Mikus is an interesting signpost, analytically. DL seems to be seeding the 7-12 spots with the type of skill-first guys that are normally boom-or-bust in the top six. Keeping enough of them around could sort of lead to a 3rd and 4th line platooning deal, where a bunch of these guys bounce up and down from Manchester to LA all season long, jumped up on adrenaline and providing another scoring threat to offset the lack of D points.

Will be interesting to watch.
