He's my darkhorse to win a spot on the Sabres roster next season. He's a longshot but if Tallinder and Lydman are let go, he could steal a spot with an impressive camp.

They're having intrasquad games. Just a blurb:

Battling winger Stefan Della Rovere was moved onto a line with gifted youngster Tyler Seguin and stocky right-winger Brandon Kozun, while Brandon McMillan joined the duo of Jordan Eberle and Nazem Kadri. Other lines had centre Luke Adam with John McFarland and Louis Leblanc and Brayden Schenn with Gabriel Bourque and Scott Glennie. Cody Eakin is slotted in.

I thought McNabb had a serious injury. Or did I confuse him with someone else.

He was injured and has since come back.

Edit - yeah, 10 points, 23 PIM in the 8 games since returning 11/27.

Congrats to L.A. Hopefully, he gets to play.

Gotta love the suspense of the tsn.ca "refresh" button.

I can't wait til the WJCs next year. Hopefully, at least one prospect (i.e Kassian or McNabb) will make it.

As far as I know, Connor Knapp is in the running to make the Team USA WJC team. Any updates on him?

Peterborough Petes captain Zack Kassian did not play in Saturday's game against Niagara after being suspended for missing Thursday night’s curfew.
Nothing serious here, as long as he learns a lesson from it.

That would be quite impressive considering he isn't even the starter on his team.

If I recall correctly, USA pared their list down to two goalies last week and Knapp was not one of them.

Watching Luke Adam play a real game for the first time: http://sportslivefeed.com/Hockey-Channel-Two

He was just on the PP and had 2 very nice setups for Brayden Schenn, who couldn't cash in on either.

Some years they have a lot of talent there, some years they don't.

Considering the "other" potential for the Nats is playing as the Sabres #1 defenseman right now, I'll take it.

Not sure how Southorn is in any one's top 10. He's had a less-than impressive season in a year where he's fighting for a contract.

1. Adam
2. Lagace
3. Crawford
4. McNabb
5. Tropp
6. Kassian
7. Eidsness
8. Biega
9. Legault

I was assuming goalies aren't included. So if you don't include Eidsness, your choices are basically Foligno or Southorn. Basically a forward with 15 points in 35 games vs a defenseman with 15 points in 36 games. Unless there are some seriously intangibles I'm taking that dman over the forward everytime.

Here's something to be happy about after another loss to Ottawa. Who woulda thunk he'd be in the running for the Hobey Baker?

Corey Tropp's redemption mirrors MSU hockey resurgence

Quote:
East Lansing -- Corey Tropp has made the most of his second chance, resurrecting his college hockey career by helping the Spartans find their way back to the national spotlight.

Tropp, who was suspended for the final two months of last season for a slash on Steve Kampfer of Michigan, leads the nation in goals (16) and scoring (27).
