Lagacé could still be on the move. One possible destination? Cape Breton. Price rumored to be pretty steep.

It's going to be a good one tonight. Canada definitely stacked, but USA can make it a game with strong physical vibe and great goaltending.
My powers of persuasion will be in full view trying to get our hostess to put the game on at any point in the festivities tonight. DVR is ready to go though....

Rumor has it that Jordon Southorn is going to be traded, along with teammate and overager Samson Mahbod, to the Québec Remparts. It will be interesting to see if a change of scenery will improve his play at all. He has spent his entire junior career with PEI and has sort of leveled out over the last season.

Yeah, I've liked what I've seen. He's pretty gritty and is always looking to crash the net and hit the corners but doesn't look out of place whatsoever skating with all these talented players on Team Canada. I'm certainly excited to see what he can do at the NHL level, especially considering we haven't had a center like him in the system in awhile.

Don't look now, but Jacob Lagacé leads the QMJHL in goals.

Wow, I hope this is true. Anybody have a link to the story, I haven't seem to found one yet. He and Adam played great together in the Subway Series, and hopefully they can continue to carry that success even into the NHL with us.

If Lagace was really traded to Cape Breton that would be phenomenal.

Article on possible trade. I haven't found anything that confirms it has happened though.

In true Buffalo fashion watch them get placed together, form zero chemistry, and then get broken apart.

The official trade, from TSN

-- Cape Breton sent defenceman Eric Gelinas, a first-round pick in 2010 and a second-round pick in 2011 to Chicoutimi for winger Jacob Lagace.

Suddenly they have RW prospects. Thankfully McNabb, Lagace and Tropp have stepped up.

From what I have read about the kid I was thinking the same thing. I would love to have that translate to the NHL level, I sort of miss Dumont and what he brought to the table.
