Take a wild guess at who is standing behind malkin.. I would give you a hint but I feel I don't need to.

That could have been Nick Lidstrom and Malkin would have still scored.

I know that was Seidenberg. Malkin made a sick play, I really don't see what Dennis could have done to play that better. That gif isn't so much a knock against Seidenberg as it is a testament to Malkin's talent.

Clearly you didn't watch him play last year.

This. He made a lot of money because of a contract that the Blues gave him based on potential.

Obviously he is asking far too much than people are willing to pay.

actually same for Backman
Like I said, you never watched him much, if at all, last year did you?

Malkin is one of the best players in the world, those types of guys have a tendency to do that to opposing d-men.

you are right. i haven't seen him play since his st-louis days

and the games i saw vs LA, he wasn't terrible in them

but just in example, Kovalev had a terrible season last year yet he signed

it happens alot where 1 bad season occurs but the player still gets signed

i always thought he played decent in STL and therefore for the right price, a team could sign him

i mean... a lot of crappy players are currently signed, i was just surprised that he wasn't

but mostly surprised with M-A Bergeron
