HQ look at the jerseys
The main new detail that's noticeable now is that black has been completely taken out of the white jersey. Doesn't appear in the wordmark or the lettering/numbering as opposed to Dallas' 3rds.

Didn't Wilson wear 22 last year? I wonder if that means he will be the captain.

Those aren't as bad as I first thought.

Definitely like their away jerseys better than our 3rds.

I agree. The photo from the Dallas fan's blog must have been an early prototype of some sort. The changes to the actual jersey look pretty good. The colors on the first one were terrible too (could have been the photo though).

I agree with the first part, but I still think our thirds trump what they have got. Much better than I first thought though

Are they holding camp at the cedar park center? And is it open to the public?

According to their website, it is at the Center but it's closed to the Public.

Hey guys, yes it's closed t the public do to construction. showed up a little too late today to see them practicing because they have to get the Arena ready for a concert. I did take some more pics of the arena though, the LED displays are really cool and all of the concessions are stocked up. I'll post the pics tonight.

Texas knocks off San Antonio, 2-1, in the first ever pre-season game.

Quote:
San Antonio, TX - The Texas Stars defeated the San Antonio Rampage 2-1 in a preseason game on Thursday night at the Ice Center at Northwoods. Stars' goalie Richard Bachman made 30 saves for the victory, shutting out the Rampage for the first 52:13 of regulation. Forwards Travis Morin and Greg Rallo each scored in the Texas win. The Stars' penalty kill was flawless, stopping all seven San Antonio power plays. The Texas Stars will make their Cedar Park Center debut on Sunday at 3:00 pm in a rematch with San Antonio.

It seems that Brad Lukowich has cleared waivers and is being sent to the Texas Stars, apparently the Manitoba Moose are already at their 5 veteran limit, and with letting our players play for the Moose last year only seems reasonable to return the favor.

Except there's no room at all.

Does Monast get sent to Idaho just get playing time?

Lukowich
Hutchinson
Stafford
Jancevski
Fortunus
Vishnevskiy
Stephenson

Monast?

Ludwig was probably already going to Idaho I guess.

Last night's game gave some guys an opportunity to impress Crawford.

Quote:
"They are going to have a real good thing going on down here," said Crawford. "They're going to have good goaltending with both [Matt] Climie and [Brent] Krahn. They've got a great defense. I was really pleased with [Ivan] Vishnevskiy. That's the best game I've seen him play. I thought [Colton] Sceviour was really good up front. [Michael] Neal played well. Those things don't go unnoticed. They've got a hard working group. Glen and Paul are going to make sure they work hard. They did a terrific job tonight."
