The Killers or Franz Ferdinand?

If you had to pick one to see live, who would it be?

The Killers are coming to Quai Jacques Cartier on Sat Sept 5
Franz is coming to Metropolis Tue Aug 31

Can't decide which lol

Tough choice, I like them both. I was dissapointed with both of their last albums however. Why not see both..the tickets aren't going to be very expensive. I think the Killers cost 50$ and Franz Ferdinand will probably be about 40$-50$ as well. The song Lucid Dreams from Franz Ferdinand's album is just awesome.

Queens of the Stone Age.

But to answer your question, Franz all the way, because they are actually a good rock band...

I saw Franz with Death Cab and The Cribs a couple years ago, they put on a great show. I don't listen to either band (Franz or Killers) anymore, but I'd go with Franz. I like shows where people move, you get that with Franz...I don't find the same to be true with The Killers, it's mostly a bunch of emo-ish guys and girls that sing along terribly to the songs.

Live its Franz for sure, awsome musicians and showmen, their lates record is catchy and super fun, while the Killers take themselves too seriously, I mean they want to be the cure SO bad...its sad

2 yrs ago The Killers but now neither. I think they've both been really flat since their debuts. The Killers are now a really pretentious and "try too hard" type of band like Coldplay is now.

Franz I kinda liked but they sound so generic on each one of their songs even if they can be some fun to listen to occasionally.

I'd think the venue would play a big role in your decision here since they're both close in terms of "good", tho that is very subjective...

If I had to choose, I'd go with Franz Ferdinand, or buy another pair for the Keane concert

Yup...that's about it. The Killers are acting like they are the best band of the world while they are pretty average. Franz is more entertaining and they can pull off a better live show for sure!

Yup, going to see them for the first time this September at the Metropolis. Better be a great one!

This year is great for me: Doves last june, Coldplay at Osheaga and Keane, and I'm not counting Stars from the end of last year. If only Muse could add a random date for Montreal before the end of 09, I could die happy.
