Do you think that this is an aspect this team has improved in or regressed in with our new players?

Losing Koivu is definitely going to hurt us...I don't know how our new guys are in the shootouts though.

I'm happy I won't see kovalev doing the same god damn move and miss the net.
sad for tanguay and koivu they had more than on move that they would try during a game.

I'm definitely going to miss watching Saku in our shootouts, that's for sure.

The shootouts always seem to be a crapshoot, I'm sure our new additions will do as well as anyone else. Hoping that Lapierre gets a few more tries this year though!

Last year Cammalleri 1-for-5, Gionta 0-for-2, Gomez 0-for-2.

But it's hard to say with the shootout. Max Lapierre is 2-for-3.

Gomez:
05-06 2-for-3
06-07 0-for-1
07-08 2-for-4
08-09 0-for-2
Total: 4-for-10 (40%)

06-07 2-for-6

I didn't bother to check pre-lockout for obvious reasons.

If I'm not mistaking Crosby and Malkin are pathetic in shootouts,I think once they get use to it they will be alright, especially Cammalleri

Gionta was the Devils #1 for shootouts until last season. He's pretty good, but the problem is that he tries the same move every time.

Does he usually make a move or does he usually take a shot?I would expect him being more of a shooter and picking the corners...

From his youtube highlights he looks like a forehand backhand kind of guy

He never tries to shoot really, you'll just be seeing that move a lot.
