Hey guys, did Kyle Chipchura re-sign? I am not sure.

If he's smart, he took a much lower salary than his cap hit of a year ago (942 K). That's the only way we can carry him as a spare part.

I'd rather see Stewart play on the 4th line than him though...

Well, it's not a suprise there. Gainey wanted to give a last chance chance before shipping him to China.

Unfortunately, this year will not be any different from the others...

Sorry, but i'd rather have Stewart and Metropolit than the Slowpoke over there...

Metropolit >>>> Stewart >> Chipchura !!

Chipchura = Future bust !!

Enough said !!

I'm willing to bet that Chipchura plays 60+ games this year and does well.

I'd really like this to happen, but I doubt there's enough space for him in the lineup. I could see him play around 20 games tho due to injuries, but nothing more.

I don't see Chipchura in our future unless of a breakout year. I may sound like Erika Kostitsyn, but we truly wasted a 1st round pick with this guy.

Pacioretty - Gomez - Gionta
Cammalleri - Plekanec - A. Kostitsyn
Latendresse - Lapierre - Moen
Stewart - Metropolit - Chipchura

D'agostini, S. Kost

Get rid of Laraque?

Aren't you being a little tough on Kyle, a player who has been a winner everywhere he has played, from minor to juniors to Team Canada to AHL? He is a character guy who was given the captaincy at every level becomes of his grit, determination, character and skill. Chipchura may be a 3rd or 4th liner, but he will be very good at his role and add a good dimension to the club.

I dont agree with this.

Chipchura has more potentiel and offensive abilities then Stewart.

Stewart does skates faster.

Pacioretty should start in Hamilton and play there untill christmas. Then you decide wether you call him up or you leave him in the minor.

Laraque still has is place with the team, you play him maximun 7 minutes a game.

i know it is a expensive 4th liner.

I don't get why people hate Chipchura. He hasn't proven anything, but he still has potential, and there's no reason to give up on him just yet. Did he run over someone's dog or bang your wife or something? Come on. Give him a chance.

He's a fine player. Was one at 21, when he made the team out of camp and was solid on the third line, has gotten better each year in Hamilton. Just because he didn't play great last year when he was coming off an injury in a no-system team, playing with Bégin, Laraque and whoever else doesn't mean he isn't any good.
Completely agree with you here...

wow...judging by what's written here sometimes, no one in the history of the Montreal Canadiens has done anything right...ever.

Where are the mods?
There are several Chipchura threads, when they can all fit in one.
I know in the past, some of the new threads I posted were "merged" with similar type ones. What's up with this?

I'd love to know what happened between Chipchura and Erika Bitterness like that doesn't come out of nowhere.

I'd take that bet and run with the money.

I'm willing to bet we waive him at some point of the year. Wasted 1st round pick.
