Who Will Win the STANLEY CUP???

i know, the playoff matchups are not set yet. but i still think the best team will win no matter what the matchups are. so, with that in mind, who do you think will be in the FINALS this year??? CONFERENCE FINALS?
i'm going with DALLAS and TORONTO in finals....

Where did the Islanders go? You just made a thread stating that the Islanders will be in the finals here (defeating Tampa and Montreal along the way) :

What happened?

My guess is Detroit over TB. My fervent hope is Colorado over Ottawa. That would be a fun series to watch.

Calgary vs. Montreal

Repeat of '89!!!
Flames win!!

I can dream, can't I?

But realistically...

Detroit vs. Philly

Wings win, with Cujo between the pipes.

I've got a feeling it'll be Detroit vs Dallas in the west...TB vs Ottawa in the East. I'll say Ottawa over Dallas in 6.

Detroit.. I think they will pull a "San Antonio 2003", winning each series in 6..

Poor underappreciated devils, eh? There is a good reason they are being overloooked but they have as good of a chance as anyone, especially if they squeeze the division out, which they probably will.

Way too early to talk about champs, so many things can happen. Who would have thought NJ and Anaheim last year??

Out of the East - Tampa, Toronto or NJ
Out of the West - Detroit, Colorado or Vancouver

I think I'll narrow it down to about 16 teams in a few days.

I'm gonna say Detroit over Colorado in 6 games in the West, and Toronto over Ottawa in 7 games in the East.

TB doesn't make it out of the 2nd round, quote me on that one if you wish...

and i think Detroit will win the Cup. either that, or they crash and burn in one of the first 2 rounds. i would laugh.
