Both the U.S. and Canada will announce their World Junior evaluation camp rosters tomorrow. The Americans will announced at 11 a.m. It's possible that Canada will announce at the same time.
Danny Kristo is expected to be on the American roster. He was on the team last season and is off to a great start this season. The American camp will be held in Ralph Engelstad Arena, ending with a game against the Sioux on Dec. 19.
Compounding the question of D’Amigo’s return is the expectation that he’ll be invited to the final tryout – rumors say he already has been invited – for the U.S. World Juniors Tournament team Dec. 17 at North Dakota.
I am glad the US has decided to add the extra camp this year. It really is a great system, not only does it promote further competition for the team, but it gets them another chance to get acquainted with each other, recieve additional feedback from the coaches, and develop some chemistry.
John Carlson on the prelim. list per one of the Caps beat writers (Corey Masisak)...Caps GM McPhee has told the same reporter within the last week that a final decision has not been made by the org. yet as it related to the Caps letting Carlson play in the tourney (source: Washington Times; Corey Masisak's twitter and blog)

Blais didn't lie about those not being invited to the summer evaluation camp still being in the running. A fair amount of new names here. I'm a little surprised that Adam Comrie and Kenny Ryan weren't invited back, and had you told me Jason Zucker would be invited, I would have thought for sure one of Brandon Saad or Emerson Etem would be as well, although Zucker impressed the daylights out of me at the World U-18 last year as an underager.
Overall, no real gripes. Dean Blais' (assumption obviously) has so far been a real fresh of breath air to the way USA Hockey approaches this tournament.

That's great news. Blais' said he was the top d-man at the evaluation camp in August so it would have been a huge blow to lose him for this tournament, especially considering Bogosian is still available. I'm glad both sides are compromising so that Carlson can play. Bravo!

What I'm curious about, is that "team official" from the Caps, or from USA Hockey? Is this an update to the earlier issue of the Caps not yet deciding whether they'd let him go, or is this supplementary to team USA naming their camp roster and clarifying that he wasn't coming to camp?
Obviously it being Corey it's likely a Caps source, but it would be nice to see some clarification just to be certain (if he hasn't already posted more details).
