Potential milestones for Bolts in 2017-18

Just for fun I decided to check out the stats for each of our player and think what kind of milestones they could hit next season. In the parenthesis are the current values in each stat. Some are pretty obvious and some are not that likely. I probably forgot some.

Stamkos: 600 points (582)
Stamkos: 350 goals (321)
Namestnikov: 100 points (79)
Namestnikov: 50 goals (33)
Kucherov: 300 points (234)
Kucherov: 150 goals (108)
Callahan: 400 points (351)
Condra: 100 points (98)
Point: 100 points (40)
Killorn: 200 points (174)
Kunitz: 600 points (580)
Johnson: 100 goals (89)

Sustr: 10 goals (8)
Coburn: 200 points (190)
Strålman: 50 goals (41)
Girardi: 50 goals (46)

Vasilevskiy: 50 wins (41)

Kucherov: 150 goals (108)

If Cally has a 49 point season, I think it's us who owe you drinks.

It's a shame, Stamkos should be close to 500 goals if it weren't for the injuries.

No really juicy milestones this season unless Stamkos decides to score 79 goals.

kucherov has a better chance of hitting 200 goals this year then callahan hitting 49 points i say this and laugh about either

i will say is great being online saw people predicting stamkos 45 goals kucherov with more which id love to see but doubt it myself being kucherovs biggest fan lol

Eh not really.. even if he scored 50 in the 2 seasons he missed that'd only put him at 381...

Good call, I made a lazy post. My mindset was towards his "down" seasons after the broken leg, but even factoring that in he'd still only be at around 400.

Yeah even elite goal scorers don't reach 500 till their early to mid 30's, crazy to think how high that actually is when you think about how long stamkos has been an elite scorer and is only "still" at 321..

Potential milestone if he can make it through the summer without hurting himself, Stamkos is playing his 10th NHL season next year.

Gotta wonder how big a difference a healthy Stamkos could make for us. Even if we don't get A-game Stamkos, but more like B-game Stamkos who can put up points while not getting himself into too much trouble.

I'm also wondering/hoping we see a different Johnson and Palat now that they're locked up. Their best year in the NHL came after inking their former contract.

I think Stamkos will be fine. He's a natural goal scorer. Even in his season where he wasn't very good all around player he was still putting up points and mostly goals. My question with him is his skating and getting back the feel for the game. That could take a while but I think he will still be one of the biggest threats to score in the league.

Palat and Johnson I think have bounce back seasons. My biggest question is with Johnson, after he injured his wrist he wasn't the same player. Only showed flashes of it once in a while. As others have pointed out, Palat just needs to turn it on earlier. Leave it on.

That would be huge. A lock for jersey retirement.

I'll tell you what, if he hits his milestone this season, I will buy you a jersey of your choice. DFC also, who has kept a calm head with my thunderbuddying as of late, lol.

Also Sunny, can't forget you, I know you don't drink. So will get you a jersey as well. Heck, throw in one for Robert, Hoek, and Brie as well, and even Cat Bowser. But thats it, the rest get drinks on me.

I'll expect a nice, extra large strawberry daiquiri then.

Seriously though, I do think Stammer and Cally will be hungry to prove to everyone that they've still got it so I expect an awesome season from both of them.

With regards to milestones, if Stralman hits 50 goals, I'll make Swedish Meatballs for everyone!!! Fortunately, Stralman already showed signs of being back to his usual outstanding self during that final run for the playoffs and at Worlds.

Heddy and Kuch are exploding into the prime of their careers. Palat and Johnson will want to show that they deserve their contracts. Our new vet FA acquisitions will want to prove that their old teams were wrong to let them go. We have a bunch of rookies that want desperately to earn (and keep) a roster spot on the team. And everyone is pissed that they missed the playoffs by one fricking point.

Dang it, it's going to be a fun year.
