I know it's a nickname for the Canadiens... but can anyone tell me why? And what it means?

It means "holy cloth" and it refers to the timeless jersey that all TRUE habs fans and TRUE Habs Players feel when they put on this fabled jersey.

Yankees Pinstripes, Kelly Green of the Celtics and the CH of the Club de Hockey.
