for the rangers rangers game?

Individual tickets usually go on sale mid-september. The second saturday, I believe. I think you'll have a hard time with the public on sale. 3 reasons,
1) season ticket subscriptions are high,

2) they hold back a lot of tickets to continue selling mini-plans. I was called last year by my rep in december asking me if I was interested in picking up a few extra tickets for a few remaining games. I wasn't, but was curious. They had about 3 or 4 different 4-5 game packagaes. Each had one premium game (flyers, isles, pens), one 2nd tier (leafs, habs), and two less popular games (carolina tampa etc.) (note: these are my descriptions in terms of premiums, 2nd tier. MSG doesn't classify the games officially). One of the games in a package was for a game 2 days later.

3) I honestly believe the teams are selling tickets at a premium through sites like stubhub. ESPECIALLY for the big games. Not something I can prove, but every year I see the evidence.

I'm looking for preseason tickets, doesn't matter which game. 3 would be awesome, 2 would do the trick.

I'm looking to take my son to his first hockey game

ha! I hope that's the case.

I'm trying to get my father to go, so we can have three generations of unruly irish people going, but he's a snowbird, so we'll see.

Sounds like a nice night out if you can get that going...

Seriously though, hang around here and youll definitely pick up pre-season seats, no problem.

No doubt. I picked up a couple of tickets last year from STH's, and it was a very pleasant way to do it.

One of the nice things about HFboards, almost every interaction with a HF'er I've had has been a good one

Tickets to home opener

Hey, Ottawa fan here. I want to head to NYC for the OCT. 3 home opener vs. the Sens. Is there any chance I could get tickets in advance or will it be sold out leaving me at the mercy of scalpers? Does anyone have any advice on getting two tickets? Is anyone here a season ticket holder who wants to swap tickets to come to a game in Ottawa? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Best bet is stubhub or the ticket exchange on the team website. If you are willing to wait, come to NY and that afternoon buy tickets on the exchange. I wouldn't trust the scalpers outside MSG, have heard too many stories of people getting burned with fake tickets.

3rd seat

Anyone intertested in a seat? I can add a 3rd seat to my season tix in the 300's. $56.00 season ticket face value.

Here's the deal: you pay for 42 games (2 preseason) and I'll let you take up to 3 seats per game against your regular season total of 40 home games.

Take 3 seats for 5 games? subtract 15 from your total of 40. Go to the game alone? subtract 1 from your total and sit next to me. (though I would not prefer this for all games because I want to be able to use a 3rd seat as well) Once you use your 40 you're done.

Of course playoff rights are included.

Thanks! Is there actually a chance some tickets for the home opener would be available on game day through the ticket exchange?

I'm sure there would be. Nice thing is, they are emailed to you directly from the team. Only problem is the longer you wait, the less likely you are to have a choice amongst price range.

It's not difficult to get tickets to the Rangers at MSG as long as your willing to dish out the cash. 400 level seats for opening night will cost you between 100 and 150. (Although I dont recommend seating up there if you wear an Ottawa jersey).

300 level seating will cost between 120 and 180 probably. I would say you have a less than 1% chance of scoring tickets through the box office for face value. Also, avoid scalpers at all costs! This is NYC, alot of counterfiet tickets out there!

Morning/afternoon/evening

New York beckons for this boy over 22nd-29th December and my eyes lit up at the possibility of going to a derby game between Rangers and Islanders on the 26th.

Hopefully there's a bit of sporting agression and atmosphere between the players and the fans on this one and I'm here on the scrounge for two tickets that'll be going spare.

If there are any out there going for a decent price then please get in touch. All but the dumbest of prices will probably be entertained!

I have 6 tickets in section 316 row K(which is the last row) I am looking for $150for all 6 which is a great way to take the family. Offering 9/21 vs Red Wings and 9/24 vs Caps. If interested I can send tickets out as soon as I recieve them.
