Bad news for the Oilers

Down 1-0 courtesy of the Blues....and Nashville is winning their game 3-0. I sure hope the Oilers can come back. They've worked far too hard for this to end.

It was the first time I've ever tuned into an Oilers-Blues tilt, and I can't say I was disappointed with the results.

edmonton and nashville both have 87 points, but nashville has one more win and a game in hand. if edmonton loses their next two games...nashville is in,automatically. if nashville wins one of their games and edmonton loses one...nashville is in. if edmonton wins both...and nashville wins 2 of the next three...nashville is in. i was hoping for both the oilers and the preds to get in, because the oilers are my favorite canadian team...but it's come down to one or the other(grr, blues ) and so...i'm a big Dallas\Vancouver fan, over the next two games

Well there's always hope Nashville will lose the next two. St.Louis, Colorado. I'm thinking they won't beat Colorado for sure...and they may not make it past St. Louis either.

Guys guys, you're missing what's really important here. Calgary's Magic Number has just been reduced to 0.5!!

I kid, I kid...

Regardless, Edmonton's put themselves in a hole now. Two tough games against Dallas and Vancouver. Common sense tells me they are finished. But there's something about this Edmonton club, for whatever reason I wouldn't rule them out.

It's been some kind of race for those last spots in the west. Calgary, Edmonton, Nashville and STL have been playing playoff hockey for the last month now..

As much as I disliked Chicago, I'm kind of despising them now. Not only did they suck before, but now they have to go and drop both games to St. Louis, this stinker to the Preds, and they still have one game left against Nashville...

Why oh Why did the schedule makers have to do this??

We have 3 games left @Chicago, St. Louis, and @Colorado

We have only beaten Chicago once 1-3-1 vs and that was tonight. Sully killed us until we got him 1-0-1 since the trade

We are 2-2-1-0 vs St. Louis Both wins at home

and

2-1 vs Colorado the team we won't beat for sure

I like our chances

that was what we were asking last month, when looking at roadtrips consisting of ottawa and philadelphia...or...detroit, vancouver, calgary, edmonton...all in a row. believe me, it hasn't been a cake walk

Preds finally played great tonight. Absolutely dominated the Hawks. They hit 4 posts in the first period and still managed two goals. That and Tootoo destroyed Bell in a bout Bell won't forget for a while. Maybe this will shut up fullmetalninja who thinks Toots is afraid of ole Mark.

I think everyone wanted Edmonton and Nashville to make it. Except of course Blues fans.

I want Edmonton to get in because they're Canadian and I admire their heart. I want Nashville to get in because of Scott Walker and Stevey Sullivan, and the rest of the team who hasn't tasted the playoffs yet. I hate St. Louis, so needless to say I want them out : :turkey

2 wins away from an automatic playoff birth

I thought we would be getting another top 10 pick, what a pleasent surprise this season has been REGARDLESS of whether or not we make the playoffs.

GO PREDS!

This is TERRIBLE news for the Oilers. I was pulling for both Nashville and Edmonton to make it, but it looks as though it'll be one or the other :<

BOOOOOO BLUES

I want 7 and 8 to be Nashville / Edmonton.

Then again, it may be fun seeing Detroit sweep the hapless Blues once again.

You guys went 4-0 vs Chicago. At least the Hawks are consistant.

I don't know if I would call that "destroyed", but it was hilarious how fast he got the jersey over Bell's head. The fight was being broken up and Bell throws a punch at the linesman because he can't tell it's a linesman. Now, that was funny.

Back to topic, that was the best all-around game I've seen the Blues play in months. They gave up only a handful of scoring chances to the Oilers and ended up carrying the physical play after the first. The refs sucked though; it was joke call after joke call pretty much all night for both sides. Plus they wave off a legit goal with a minute and a half left. With all the importance on this game, I was disappointed by what the refs were calling and letting go.
