Peca vs Madden

Who is the better player?

Criteria: Who lasted longer in their high point of their career. for example: no 3 great seasons and then mediocrity

John Madden or Mike Peca?

This should be close. In my opinion, the two best shut-down forwards of the last 15 years.

It depends on what you're judging on. The whole career? Or just going into next year--how much is left in the tank? The latter has to be Madden, because I can't imagine him being as horrid as Peca was last year.

Career? Clearly Peca. Next season? It's close.

In that case, Peca, no question.

I thought Holik in his prime (1996-2004) was better than both of them.

Big, strong, could skate, could score, was an absolutely beast around the opposing teams net, and could shutdown the best of the best.

For this Poll I would have to go with Pecca for his added scoring punch over Madden. And I love Madden.
