I don't start threads often, but this is a question I asked myself yesterday. With the new cap era, it'd be very unsual that a player remains on a team his whole career (unless it's a franchise player i.e: Crosby,Ovechkin,Malkin ect.)

For me it'd be Latendresse,Lapierre and Markov.

I'm really hoping Markov will, and like others have said I can see Lats & Laps being lifers

Let's also hope for Subban and possibly Pacioretty!

Markov for sure. Lapierre and Lats are a dime a dozen imo, I could see them traded before finishing their careers here.

Koivu and to a lesser degree, Komisarek , aren't with the team anymore.

Honestly, nobody is safe or a lifer. If they are here until they retire, it's purely happenstance and not some kind of divine galactic hockey-constellation alignment.

Lapierre might get traded , he might not want to resign when he's a UFA , same with Patches , Price, Markov, etc.

Kind of depressing when you think about it eh?

I'm not sure any of them will. It's just too rare these days.

Being a one-team guy is overrated anyway. When you think of Ray Bourque or Bobby Hull, do their stints with Colorado and Winnipeg really change the way you see their careers?

None, every player is ridden out of town, or they don't fit the future of the team.

Koivu never ever made consensus in Montreal, Markov is and will retire here.
