I wouldn't avoid them for that. If that is your only problem it should be easily rectified. If you don't like the knee landings because they're too hard, you can easily swap them out for your old ones or replace them with new ones of your liking

I didn't buy any rip offs of Easton nor do I know the history of the companys who supposedly ripped them off to comment. I do know that background on this though.

If you want to take an idea and build on it, cool. Change the leg channel, change the knee landing, do what ever to make your pad or product different. However when you take the same product, make an exact carbon copy using cheaper materials, and use the same exact graphic on it because it's suddenly on the "hot new goalie", then that is just stealing to try to make a quick buck off someone elses product. There is no getting around it.
