nty only thing raymond has is speed .. i dont think hes any of an upgrade over anyone on our 3rd line now..

As someone who watches the Canucks religiously, you'd not be disappointed in Raymond. THe kid is primed for a breakout season really soon. He's shown all the tools and it's just a matter of putting them together. He was one of our best players during the playoffs (even though the numbers don't really back it up). He'll never be a 1st line player I don't think, but I'd be pretty surprised if he didn't turn into a 20 goal scoring 2nd liner.

So you don't want him because he's still developing?

I have always felt that Raymond will be a 20 goal scorer. He's being squeezed out the middle in Vancouver. If Gillis is seriously trying to trade him, and especially if he comes to us with this offer, there is no reason for us not to take it.

We have another similar forward in Grabner and we need a player to round out our defensive corp. We are lacking a young defenseman in the system and you seem to have a factory over there. As an added bonus, he's a BC boy.
