For a guy who hasn't scored 20 goals in his career you should be thrilled if that happens.

I actually like Lisin over Korpikoski. He looks like he really has some nice offensive upside.

Perhaps it's placing too high of expectations on him, but for a guy who scored 13 goals in 48 games (extrapolates to 22 goals per season, blah blah) playing in Phoenix of all places, I certainly expect him to score 20 goals if he gets top six minutes with the Rangers

With top six minutes, there's really no excuse. If he's a player, he'll do it, if he's not, then he'll be dumped and never heard from again. That's the short of it, in my opinion

He wasn't referring to Wayne

Keith Gretzky, Wayne's brother

He's also poking fun of the fact that Alex Kovalev was being referred to as the "Russian Gretzky" back in the day.

It's going to come down to this:

Did he score because he played on a poor team and they had no better options?

or

Is he capable of more on a better team?

My thoughts on the matter are known.

Well, Phoenix fans felt that he spent a lot of his time playing on the third line with guys who aren't normally scorers, so if that's true, then I don't think it's a case of "they didn't have anyone else so they played him out of position on the top lines"

I tend to think it comes down to consistency...if he can be a threat and not just disappear for weeks at a time before popping up for a few goals, then that's at least a start
