Not saying Z deserves the #4 slot, just emphasizing how the anti-Zherdev spin machine keeps on rollin'.

Zherdev is undoubtedly somewhere between 5th and 8th place. But I'll have this debate later - if Zherdev is still on the team at that point...
Probably because Zherdev's value to the Rangers is quickly aproaching zero. Unless we manage to trade him or clear some space under the cap he is gone.

Z's not getting votes because the odds he's a ranger next season are stacked against him

Most important isn't the same to me as most valuable, necessarily.

In Dubinsky, you have the guy who basically holds the Rangers secondary hopes on his shoulders (behind Lundqvist and Gaborik). A 75 point season out of Dubi along with a healthy Henrik and Gaborik and we're a fringe ECF team, a 40 point showing and we're probably looking at a ceiling of the 6 seed.

However, because Dubinsky's still a huge coinflip and could go either way, I think that really, the next most valuable Ranger to our immediate success has to be Drury. If he steps up his game to be the high 60's point player we thought we were adding instead of the high 50's to go along with playing a good two way game and now being (with Betts gone) our likely best defensive forward I see so much of what we want to do next year running through Drury. Behind Lundqvist and Gaborik (who each are the respective anchors of our team) Drury's critical to what we want to do. Thus, I vote Drury.
