I know, I know, we're all sick of hearing about it. But let's be honest, he'd look good in the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge.

I figure I can't be the only one hanging on to my delusion. There must be others. C'mon, don't be shy.

Gainey wanted Sundin but he settled for Lang. Gainey wanted Lecavalier but he settled for Gomez. Gainey wants to make the Habs a contender but seems like he will settle for a mediocore playoff team.

I think we should still get Lecavalier.

I've closed the door on the Habs possibly getting him. When the Tampa Bay ownership in-fighting was resolved, they obviously decided that Lecavalier was going to stay put. It's a pipe dream to think he'll ever play in Montreal now.

Gainey tried and tried and tried...but Lecavalier just isn't available. He won't come in Montreal...I can't see him coming here after Gomez is gone either...he will be too old for the salary he'll get.

I think there should be Vinny threads as long as there are Perezohgin threads.

I think if Vinny REALLY wanted to come to Montreal all he had to do was pick up the phone and call the owners. All he and his agent were saying though was "Lawton said they would be asking us if there were movements". Meaning Vinny's camp was playing "hear no Evil, See no Evil". So all in all even if Tampa almost screwed him over and lied to him, he did not want to be traded. So he did not want to come play for the Habs. He doesn't want us, why should we want him? I don't care about him. And I have the feeling the rest of his career will suck.
