If Sauer plays a full season, our D shouldn't be a big problem. Barring dramatic injuries, we have a a B+ goalie and a B+ defensive corps IMO - good enough to keep our GAA fairly low and take a team to a first round of playoffs.
But not good enough to compensate for our lack of consistent offense.
My only hope is a little bit of luck & magic - there seems to be a "surprise" team every season that puts his **** together and wins games despite adversity. Our current group of guys may have enough character and talent to make it happen. Again, it comes down to potential, not expectations - something I just don't count on anymore.
