Would anyone else like to see Dominic Moore brought back?

He put up 45 points last year so hes can score and weve seen him on a checking line so we know hes solid defensively and brings a ton of energy. I dont know what it would take to bring him back, where he would play but i would deffinately love to see him back on broadway...anyone think theres any chance it happens?

No. We don't need anymore 3rd liners. We have plenty.

Is he going to take AA's spot as 3rd line C?

No thanks!

There are other former rangers who I would prefer more than just for their nostalgic value. Sykora being one.

The remainder of this offseason into next is entering a bizarro free agent world.

Usually where free agents have scores of teams to bid up their services, you see a Marty Biron taking a HUGE paycut because he miscalculated the situation.

And then you have Dom Moore. He was looking for 2.5-3 million from the Leafs. They offered 1.8 and he passed. It will be terribly intriguing to see what he ends up signing for.

I was really surprised he did not take that Leafs offer. While I think he is a solid player I want to see our young centers get a shot. I do hope Dom finds a team, he was a good Ranger.

Petr Sykora has proved time and time again, when the play gets tough, he disappears. It's maddening when he has the talent, but chooses to be a perimeter player.

I would love Manny Malhotra for the 3rd/4th line center position. It would be the Betts upgrade everyone clamored for, but Manny is looking for real money this offseason. Let's see if he finds a partner, however.

Ultimately, it looks like it was a fool-hardy move on Dominic's part. Yes, he was having a career year. But that was more of a result of the Leafs having very little options, not because of his developing talent.

41pts/63 games - Leafs
4pts/18 games - Sabres

On a playoff team, Dominic Moore is no more than a ~25pts player.

No I don't think there is a chance, and no I would not want him back given his salary demands and the young players available to take that spot in the lineup.

I always liked Dom Moore, I was stuned when we traded him for that Epic failure Hall.

I wouldn't mind him back in Blue, He would be a "Torts" Guy, basically a replacement for Betts at the very least. Are we positive AA is a lock for the 3rd line spot?

Dom did over rate his vaule, so he would most like get $850k from the Rangers if he is lucky.

Players like Moore and Biron and Malhotra...

Didn't something like this happen during the baseball off-season this past year? Something about Orlando Hudson... someone help me?

No.

Moore has an overinflated sense of self-worth. He overinflated his value with Slats, he was shown the door. He did the same thing with Burke, and he was shown the door again. If Blair Betts is too expensive to bring back for the fourth line, Moore will be too. Plus, he thinks he's more than a 4th liner.

how so...? He's the same breed as Dawes, Betts, Prucha, etc... all the guys that people love to label as not being "Torts" Guys, which is probably the most overused phrase on this board.
